This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with intermediate experience specifically in the Building and Construction sector (Infrastructure experience is not required), with a preference for candidates who have experience in hotel projects.

Role Summary and Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be comfortable handling multiple tasks requiring various skills, and effectively prioritizing their completion. Key duties include:

  • Planning & Coordination: Assisting in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review & Compliance: Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with design requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Technical Liaison: Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Procurement: Procuring materials, equipment, and services required for operational activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitoring & Risk: Monitoring progress, inspecting work quality, and identifying potential risks or delays, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Documentation: Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Financial Oversight: Assisting in cost estimation, budget management, and financial reporting to monitor project expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Coordinating with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and inspections, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicating regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and project teams, to provide status updates and address concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 5 – 6 years of experience as a Sr Site Engineer or Project Engineer for building and construction projects only (no infrastructure experience required). Experience with hotels is preferred.
  • Software: Strong experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge Base: Familiarity with industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.

Additional Requirements from the Employer:

  • Ability to commute to the job’s location (On-site).
  • Ability to start immediately.
